     I trust the Easter season kept you safe and well. Here’s the latest updates from Anni!

     I’ve been enjoying some trips around NSW and Victoria in the last few months. A definite highlight was the Bruthen Blues and Arts Festival. Lloyd Spiegel told me about it a few years ago (‘Bruthen goes off’ I think was how he phrased it), and I was excited to be accepted in this years’ line-up. We had a great time as festivals are always a fantastic opportunity to see other artists in action. The band put in a stellar performance and you can see us live on the Bruthen 2008 DVD. Unfortunately Sam Buckley (guitar) and Dennis Wood (drums) had their experience soured slightly by a break-in in their room, but when all thieves get away with is a mobile phone and a can of deodorant I guess you can count yourself lucky!

     I had a major scheduling clash at Easter and had to turn down an invitation to perform at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival (Byron Bay NSW). This was disappointing as I have attended this festival many times as a spectator and absolutely love it! Also it’s not too far from where I attended university, so I have a soft spot for that part of the coast. Ah well, there’s always next year.

     I look forward to getting back in the tour bus soon.
